Corn Oil. Corn is one of the most popular cereals in the world and constitutes a staple food in many countries, including Brazil, the United States and many African and European countries. Corn oil is a by-product of companies producing corn flour and starch, and is produced and consumed mainly in the United States, where it is marketed mainly in vegetable oil mixtures and also in China and Brazil. In addition, it can be consumed both raw and cooked and there are many benefits that oil brings to human health, highlighting above all the fact that it is a great source of omega 6 acids. The grains of the vegetable are what keeps most of the nutrients in corn, and are the most commonly consumed parts.

Soybean Oil. In 2020, Brazil expects to increase soy oil shipments by 25%, mainly due to the drought in Argentina, according to data from Cattalini Terminais MarĂtimos, the main Brazilian soy oil export company, located in Paranaguá – PR.

“It will export more than last year, today Cattalini has already performed 630 thousand tons from January to June. And I have a projection for the month of July of 70 thousand tons (of soy oil)” comments Lucas Cezar Guzen, commercial manager senior manager at Cattalini. According to CEPEA (Center for Advanced Studies in Applied Economics) the demand for soy oil has grown again especially for the production of biodiesel.
